Milano Jewelry Week will celebrate the culture of jewelry in its 11th edition next month in Milan, Italy. At least 380+ artists and jewelers from across the globe will have their jewelry creations on display at a beaming city-wide festival of different events and locations within Milano Centrale (city-center.) Artistar Jewels will present an international selection of jewelry, ranging from fine craftsmanship to conceptual design, including artistic and experimental pieces. My Upcycled Pear-cut Reimagined Gemstone falls into the contemporary jewelry *experimental* category as I like to employ unusual materials. I am thrilled to be invited to show this brooch alongside my Upcycled Reimagined Gemstone No. 2. Both pieces are one-of-a-kind brooches handmade from mostly reclaimed materials such as fiber and sterling silver, while featuring plexiglass-set digital drawings on archival and recycled paper.

Milano Jewelry Week and Artistar Jewels runs from October 18th through October 20th, 2025 at various locations in Milan, Italy. An online digital catalog and hardcover print edition of Artistar Jewels will be available after the exhibition opens. Be on the lookout on artdoesmatter for more highlights from next month’s opening and selected commentary/my own reactions to some of the various artists’ pieces viewed in-person.
